1. Ains Oal Gown – The Sorcerer King
The main protagonist of the story who is originally known as Momonga, later takes up the name of his guild Ains Oal Gown. Momonga is an undead with a class known as magic caster and is stuck inside the game of Yggdrasil don’t knowing what to do. As the only Supreme being left in the Nazarick, Momonga is trying to expand his rule along with trying to find his friends.
2. Albedo – The Guardian Overseer of Nazarick
Albedo, created by Tabula Smaragdina(one of the former members of Ainz Ooal Gown), serves as the Guardian Overseer of the Great Tomb of Nazarick and all the floor guardians.
Albedo is deeply in love with Ainz Ooal Gown due to a last-minute edit made by him before the game’s shutdown, which changed her original settings. She is highly intelligent and plays a key role in Nazarick’s political and military strategies along with Demiurge. Also she is extremely loyal, possessive, and obsessive when it comes to Ainz, sometimes to a comical or yandere-like behaviour, which makes her a fan favourite character. She also displays intense rivalry with Shalltear Bloodfallen.
3. Demiurge – The Genius Schemer of Nazarick
Demiurge is a demon created by Ulbert Alain Odle and is one of the most brilliant and shrewd Floor Guardians in Overlord, serving as the Guardian of the 7th Floor of the Great Tomb of Nazarick. He has a sadistic streak, taking pleasure in tormenting and experimenting on humans, whom he sees as inferior. He usually believes every action or statement from Ainz is part of a greater master plan, which leads to some funny misunderstandings between Ainz other floor guardians. Demiurge specializes in summoning, transformation, and fire-based demonic magic. He can disguise himself using his “Demiurge’s Suit” ability, making him a master of deception. He leads the demon army and manipulates nations through political and economic schemes. He is one of Ainz’s most competent and trusted subordinates, making him essential to Nazarick’s expansion.
4. Shalltear Bloodfallen – The vampire queen
Shalltear Bloodfallen, a true vampire created by Peroroncino, serves as the Floor Guardian of the 1st to 3rd Floors of the Great Tomb of Nazarick. She is very loyal to Momonga and displays extreme rivalry to Albedo. Her magic, combat and traits like undead makes her one of the important part of Ains Oal Gown army. In Season 1, she gets brainwashed by a world item by an unknown foe. And how the season revolves around the plot how Momonga rescues her and feels the need to strengthen the Nazarick from the unknown foes.
5. Gazef Stronoff – The Strongest Human Warrior of the Re-Estize Kingdom
Gazef Stronoff, captain of the Re-Estize Kingdom’s Royal Guard, also known as “IRON WILL” due to his unwavering spirit. He was one of the very few NPC’s other than that of Nazaricks whom Ains admired for his unwavering sense of honor and duty, even when facing impossible odds. Stronoff is the strongest human warrior in the Re-Estize Kingdom. Stronoff respected Ains as he knew Ains strength is incomprehensible for them. Stronoff, although had a very small role in season 1 of Overlord, leaves an impactful image.
